Letting Go

When God takes something from your grasp,
He's not punishing you,
but merely opening your hands
to receive something better.

There comes a point in your life
when you realize who really mattered,
And even those who never really did.
So, don't worry about your past,
there's a reason why some people didn't make it to your future

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
I pray that something good happens to you today;
maybe something that you have been waiting to hear -
something that brings you peace of mind;
maybe a confirmation that what you hear
the Lord saying to you - is right on!;
maybe financial help is on the way;
a relationship is mended;
an answered prayer;
maybe a family member or another
that you’ve been praying for –
has come to Christ;
a sickness healed;
grief turned to Joy;
Fear chased away by Faith;
a garden blooms in a heart of barrenness;
a job is secured;
something lost is restored;
a marriage is restored;
A child is born;
a life is spared;
a heart is transformed;
a family united…….

The possibilities are endless!
God is the God of possibilities. Nothing is impossible with Him.
For nothing is impossible with God.
Luke 1:37
He will never leave you or forsake you. His mercies endure forever.
Psalm 100:5

Amen! and Amen!

  2. Miss Laura!
    Welcome back to the Bridge :) Amen! to the Word. I was just the willing pencil - God delivered the WORD. May God be glorified through your daily walk.

    Thank you for being that pencil too, for being that pencil in the hand of God both on the Bridge - to encourage me - and on your site.

    Send her a warm hug tonight Lord

  7. For we who love Him, it all conspires together for our good! His plans for us are for a future, and a hope - no matter what yesterday, or even today may appear to be. How utterly marvelous!

    Thanks for sharing another great scripture,

    "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

    There are so many scriptures that could be added -

    like Prov 16:1
    "We can make our own plans,
    but the Lord gives the right answer"

    Proverbs 16:9
    "We can make our plans,
    but the Lord determines our steps."

    Proverbs 20:24
    "The Lord directs our steps,
    so why try to understand everything along the way?"

    The above scriptures are from The New Living Translation.

    Thanks for sharing, Kathleen, and welcome to the Bridge. Thanks for picking up that pencil and completing the circle here.

    May you be Blessed with a surprise blessing today, as you have blessed me.

  11. Wow! This is certainly a WORD from God here, especially in the wake of the Haiti earthquake and the aftermath of all that is happening there.

    Thank you for joining the SHEPHERD'S WALK Blog today and for taking time to pray for the Haitian people and my children who will be going to Haiti in March to serve there full time.

    You are a big encouragement to me as your pen continues to fill my heart with words from God!

    God has given you a special pen - one filled - not with ink - but with His Spirit!

    You have no idea how God used the pencil to scribe your very words here. You could not have said anything more profoundly anointed –than this!

    "God has given you a special pen - one filled - not with ink - but with His Spirit!"

    It reminds of how Paul ended one of his letters “And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” 2 Cor 3:3

    The Lord put this scripture in me years ago - even before He gave me Habk 2:2. I have never forgotten it. He reminded me of it with your written words here.

    Your words, scribed through that pencil in God's hand - was the 5th confirmation to me today of something the Lord has - for years - been preparing me to do, and today, He said "this is the season". he miraculously guided me to the first early this morning and He's given me a total of 6 confirmations throughout the day - all in the form of written words.

    I just want you to know how God used you today to write His heart to me. Seriously, a couple of years or so ago, I had a vision of God leading me to a small can tucked under a stadium bleacher - amongst piles of left over trash. Inside the can was a pen of ink. When I picked it up and held it in my hand, it melted and became alive like skin and covered me. It became me - like a mantle, it coveredme like flesh. That's where the title for my blog comes from.

    Now, you tell me, is that Coincidence or God's intended purpose that you should pencil such words as these to me TODAY! "God has given you a special pen - one filled - not with ink - but with His Spirit!"

    I cried when I read your words. I cried. I almost choked on the bubble of air that rose to my vocal cords – as if they were beginning to vibrate. The pressure was felt in my gut – on a spirit level. It was powerful, I just wanted to thank you for your gift of words today - for your heart - a heart that contains the wholeness of God.

    Hugs,
    Patrina <")>><

    I hope you read this, I don't know where to leave this comment for you. You devotional on The Heart of a Loving Father @
    (http://heartofalovingfather.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-have-heard-your-prayer.html)

    was the 6th confirmation from God today. I too cried when I read your words. You said "Today, your loving Father says to you, 'I have heard your prayers and seen your tears.' weep no more. Incline your ears to his sayings. He will give you words of peace, words of Hope, bring about total restoration and bless you."

    And then your suggestions for prayer just sealed it all. I just wanted you to know, as I wanted TRUTHSHARER to know - how very much you blessed me today. May God continue to bless that awesome spirit filled heart of yours. You are an anointed pencil in the hand of God. I hope you know that!

    Hugs,
    Patrina <")>><

  18. Patrina, Thank you for your comment on my blog. I did not set-up those crosses myself. They are located at El Santuario de Chimayo in Chimayo, NM, a beautiful healing chapel. When people visit, they form a cross out of sticks and place it. Like you, I collect crosses and was moved to photograph it when we visited there last year.

  22. Hi Patrina...where do I start from?

    First of all, thank you for this comment with regards the devotional. I am so touched, blessed and motivated by your words. Thank you very much.

    Secondly, some time this month, please can I put up this post of yours on my blog? It is so uplifting I want to share it more. I will surely acknowledge you as the writer.

    Thirdly, about Raymond and evading wrong influences at home, Raymond is a random name used for a real person (actually female) who wants to remain anonymous. The issue has now been resolved but I decided to share the question on my blog so that the responses could help others in future.

    Thank you and best wishes...

    @ Mary

    I am so pleased to see you on the Bridge.Saddened to hear of your niece's loss. Such a loss to lose a child - yet unborn. I too lost my first. It has brought sadness more in later years then at the time. But part of me is already in heaven - and that brings heaven even closer to me. Prayers are offered in their behalf. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matt. 5:4

    Thanks for being a pencil in the hand of God today. I am blessed to be a blessing.
