The Bridge of Truth Part 2

YOUR Heavenly Father Speaks to YOU

"He who DWELLS in the shelter of the Most High will REST in the shadow of the Almighty." Psalms 91:1

Beware of false teachers who come disguised as harmless sheep but are wolves and will tear you apart (emotionally). You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You need never be confused! Matt 7: 15-16

You have been 'called'.
Have YOU accepted His biding.
YOU have been shown His TRUTH!
He has come to YOU
Do you perceive Him?
Does He live within you?
He exudes and shines from beyond your simple yet perplexed existence
Do YOU perceive His longing?
To sup with you
to whisper His wisdom into your spirit,
every day throughout the day.
He cherishes YOU
your heart
your compassion
your commitment to family.
He longs to hear your cries
your spirit wailing
a wailing that only He can fully understand.

Do you feel HIS PRESENCE?

Your Heavenly Father Speaks to YOU

" Call unto me and I will answer you and tell you great and un-searchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3

Sit quietly with Him for an extended period of time
protected from outside distractions
housework - meals - grocery shopping
family - friends - shoulds and musts and outtas
even blogging and tweeting and facebooking!
Just open your spirit to His 'abiding' love.
BE with Him and forget the DOING - even for Him.

If Christ - the BRIDGE - crossed over our filthy sinful nature
that we might be restored back to God - our Creator,
then everything we say and do should ultimately be for His GLORY!!

Your Heavenly Father Speaks to YOU

"Commit your works to me and your thoughts will be established." Proverbs 16:3
Remember that the SONG in you is His idea.
Before you were even born,
He wove the lyrics and the melody
into the fabric of your life.
He wrote His purpose into you.
It is His song you have to sing...
no one else’s will do.

In your fear,
you think the music depends on YOU!
All He asks...
all He's ever asked
is that you sing His song.
Let the music flow through you with freedom
as His love and power flow always through to you.
Don't ever forget that the song in you
has always been His idea!
(the previous 2 paragraphs were taken in part
from a poem by Jeanie Miley)

Your Heavenly Father Loves YOU!

He whispers to you in that quiet stable voice
"I have carried you since your birth...
I will continue to be with you and sustain you,
even when you have gray hairs. :)
I will always sustain you
provide for - hold up - strengthen, encourage
and give you HOPE.

I will always rescue you
save you even from yourself
as I clarify your thoughts
and hold you up with my righteous right arm
protected in the hollow of my hand.

Keep your mind focused on me and I will keep you in perfect peace." Isaiah 26: 3-4; Isaiah 41:10 & Isaiah 46: 3-4

Your Heavenly Father Promises

"I will never leave you
(I've been right here since before the beginning of time)
nor forsake you:
I have engraved
(permanently etched - branded - sealed)
you on the palms of my hands"
Joshua 1:5 & Isaiah 49:16.

"I am with you
(now follow my example and be with me)
I am mighty to save
(the rescue was never intended to be your job)
I will take great delight in you
(I wrote my purpose into you, I gave you my song.)
I will quiet you with my love
(rest in the shadow of the Almighty).
I will rejoice over you with singing
(a melody so sweet that the watching world stills to listen)
Zephaniah 3:17

He has given us the privilege of urging everyone to come into His favor and be reconciled to Him. We are Christ's ambassadors - I urge YOU to receive the love He offers you TODAY while You still can - be reconciled to God. For God took the sinless Christ and poured into him your sins. Then, in exchange, He poured God's goodness into YOU. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21

The perfect exchange wouldn't you say?

He is the "WHAT" that brings us back to the WHY
every single time!

He gently reminds us HOW to stay in perfect peace....

for He says, over and over,
throughout His Living Word
in ways that sometimes elude our simple processing

"I will keep you in perfect peace if you will keep your mind steadfast on me...I am a Rock you can always stand on." Isaiah 26: 3-4

You have His Word on that!

  3. The Lord is always bringing me back to that verse in Isaiah! It seems whenever I forget it, He makes sure to remind me. A few months ago I was "fretting" over something, and a dear Christian lady blogger reminded me of this! Ironically, I was in turmoil once again over the same issue this very morning, and lo and behold, here it is! I have always loved that verse and had written it under a painting about 7 years ago.

"Don't ever forget that the song in you - has always been His idea!" That really made my heart rejoice as I love to sing.

    Have a blessed weekend!

  4. Oh my precious friend, your words and His speak VOLUMES to me. I love every single part of this posting because it speaks directly to our minds, hearts and souls.

Yes, "Your Heavenly Father Speaks to YOU"...May each one of us be open in all ways so that He can fill us up and continue to fill us up on a daily basis. May we be completely still...so open and in tune with Him that we hear Him at His beckon call. Oh what a Mighty God we have. It is His desire for us to come to Him and to be open completely to His will in total mind, body, heart and spirit.

I absolutely love this posting my friend. Love it and YOU!

Thank you for enriching my day even more today by coming here. You have blessed me more than you know.

  19. Patrina:

You were a marvelous Prayer Captain for my trip to the Promised Land! Thank you again for all you did in prayer and to keep everyone on the team abreast of what God was doing.

This post speaks volumes to me especially after my return from Jerusalem!

I love the verses you chose here! All of them!

  20. Be Still and Know that I am God......How very true. The noise of the world can easily drown out that peace and connection with our Heavenly Father.

    Beautiful post, Patrina.
I also like the old covered bridge. They are very rare and beautiful.

Oh...and I was just thinking how ironic your post is to my crossing the bridge with my Apache mare. How wonderful!

  22. Thanks, guys for all you kind comments. I'm having a hard time getting back into the swing of things here. Also slow at updating.... I'm been heavily in my yard the last couple of weeks. Got my garden planted finally.....I love being outside during nice weather - especially after the long winter. I've chosen this time around to comment on your blogs rather than respond here - still have some to visit...but I'll get to you.

I appreciate all of my regular readers and a warm welcome to the Bridge- to those who are new.

    Hugs, Patrina <")>><
