  One Nation Under God

      yes...Liberty and independence are not the same...

      LIBERTY =
      a. The condition of being free from restriction or control.
      b. The right and power to act, believe, or express oneself in a manner of one's own choosing.
      c. The condition of being physically and legally free from confinement, servitude, or forced labor.

      INDEPENDENCE =
      1. Not governed by a foreign power; self-governing.
      2. Free from the influence, guidance, or control of another or others; self-reliant: an independent mind.
      3. Not determined or influenced by someone or something else; not contingent: a decision independent of the outcome of the study.
      4. often Independent Affiliated with or loyal to no one political party or organization.
      5. Not dependent on or affiliated with a larger or controlling entity

      We who are in Christ are dependent on the Lord's influence in our lives...His guiding Holy Spirit...brings freedom to my body, mind, and spirit. Where would we be but for His interdependence in our lives.

    Hold fast that which is good. The Lord reveals God's love for us through the Holy Spirit's teachings to us as individuals. He is the best teacher we could have. God bless you in your walk with Him.

      The Holy Spirit is indeed the best teacher since Jesus the Messiah walked among us on the earth. In His homegoing...to be with the Father for this season..He left us the Holy Spirit of God...to guide us into all TRUTH.

  3. I am trying so hard to hold fast....need all the strength I have...because the storm of life is tearing at me with so much fury, sometimes, I seem to be losing my grip, but I hold unto HIS words desperately to survive.

      This heart-felt comment reminds me of when we first met almost 4 years ago in blogland. The Lord was powerful then as He is now...and He holds you just as steady as He always has.

      You know I am praying for you. The Lord has a plan. He always has a plan...Trust in Him with all your heart...and do not lean towards your own understanding. Do not allow the enemy to push you into that dark corner. Remain in the Lord's light. Trust that He is the same today as yesterday. he has brought you through the fire... you are His. By the Grace of God...you WILL survive to claim His goodness and Glory.

      Lord, Jesus, set her free tonight of this fear...of losing her grip. Fear is the absence of FAITH. They cannot co-exist. Either we fear or we have faith. Turn it around for her Lord. Encourage her! Strengthen her. Hold her up with your right hand! Bring her to a place where she can see your hand...your heart in her circumstance right now. Clear the view...remove the boulders that hinder...and bring her to that place of abiding again ...with you!

      I give you all the praise and Glory for you oh Lord are our Light - our Liberty - our Help in times of trouble....our strong tower...we run to you! oh Lord, when the pressures come at us from all sides - to pin us in. Thank you Lord...that we can come to you with all of our requests...knowing that you oh Lord...receive them with all the love of a Father.

  4. I thought of you tonite! I was at a Hispanic Christian Music Concert they have every year. Because I lived in Spain as a child I feel a kin to the Latin music and some of their ways that are so family, friendly and endearing. I can't find it every where, or a whole lot in our culture anymore....but I looked across the crowd and know so many and know their struggles, their failures and their sometimes hopeless future, and YET....their FAITH abounds with HOPE in the present...where they are at, struggling....but SO LOVED and accepted by our precious loving LORD JESUS....and they feel His Love, His presence in their lives as they are! They sang powerful confirming songs of His Love!! If they aren't free here....they are at LEAST FREE IN JESUS....for some it is all they have....and for some reason that is attractive to me. I am sure some of my friends and neighbors wouldn't picture me there, but I got filled with His love and hope and joy...because with HIM LIVING IN YOU....what else do you need....it is pure JOY....especially when a victory has been won or you recognize that the battle was the enemy trying to rob you of what you have and he can't have....just GLORY TONITE....you would have had fun if you could have gone with me, this old lady who is truly FREE in Christ...and free to go to a loud Christian Concert in Spanish....!! Love you and hope you are well!! We are secure in HIS LOVE....

I have been following the traumatic upheaval of your nation. I follow a Christian missionary who goes to the Philippines often. He was there during the ordeal. It has been interesting to see his photos and hear his heart on the matter.

    Praying for you, your family and loved ones within your beloved country. May God restore all and more. Let HOPE arise!

      It was so much of a blessing for me to happen to find your post while I was online. And to see that it was your first time back after a year. It felt good to welcome you back and to encourage you to find peace in being here.

      We all have our reasons for staying away or taking a break from our presence here. I struggle with the importance of our presence in blogland...particularly with big brother NSA 's overbearing presence. That's when I went quiet.

      But, what does God have to say about our presence here? that's the real question to discern. And that's going to be different for each one of us. I'm at the point of trying to discern what God wants to do with my presence here and around blogger, as I visit all of those I've met over the past 4 years.

      I want to thank you for visiting me. May the Lord find us faithful with what He has called us to do...and what He's called us to be...for His Glory.
