"Commit your works to Me and your thoughts will be established."
~ Your Heavenly Father
taken from Proverbs 16:3This is one of my favorite
pictures of Christ...
in the Garden of Gethsemane.
This framed picture
has been in my family
for over 60 years.
I remember it as a child
hanging over mama's piano.
The piano that our family
gathered around to sing
the familiar Hymns.
Daddy was a country preacher,
Mama played the piano.
I learned early
what it means to commit
the work of your hands
to the Lord.
There are many ways
to walk out your life...
but none as important
as walking with the Lord.
Jesus commited
His life to the will of the Father.
The price was great.
the agony of that night
in Gethsemane...
in deep communition
with the Father,
brought droplets of blood
upon his brow.
It wasn't easy
to lay down His life
for all mankind.
But that was His purpose.
He was committed
to the Authority ...
and ultimate Will
of the Father.
His thoughts
were established!
It was His commitment
to the Father...
that gave Him the Strength
to carry His cross
to Golgotha.
O How WIDE and HIGH...
and LONG and DEEP...
is the Father's LOVE
for YOU and ME!

Thanks for picking up the pencil...
May the grace
of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and the love of God,
and the fellowship
of the Holy Spirit ...
be with you all.
