The 'Sweetspot'...A Healing Place

I've been missing from these pages, but not missing in action. Far from it. I'm returning with a new heart, new message... for a new season. Seasons come and seasons go. This is life as it should be. If we find ourselves moving between the seasons without change...we are not growing, but slowing dying. Jesus Christ came that we might have LIFE and live abundantly from season to season....regardless of the elements of circumstance.

In the past 4 years of not posting, God has patiently ...sometimes laboriously ...poured Himself into me...over and over and over. Four years is a long time at my age. I'm not getting any younger. Yet, in these years, I've gained new LIFE. He's literally breathed into me...adding years to my life. This will become apparent as I scribe future posts on how He did this for me...with me, as I surrendered my old heart to His 'Operating Room'.

I needed a heart transplant

God has not been silent!! Nor have I been withholding. Not a chance. In my silence...He has birthed a sacred sanctuary...a place where living waters flow. In His presence, He draws me nearer. He called it a place of 'Transformative Work'. I believe the Biblical term assigned to it would be the work of  'Sanctification'. A continual work that occurs in believers who diligently seek Him. I've come to know it as a place of God's favor. Proverbs 11:27 says..." If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!"TLB

It's not an easy street to find. Not an easy road to travel. But once you meet Him there, the 'meeting' changes you forever. Proverbs 25:2 says..."It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. NIV  Its a place of  dying...a place where the old man submits to the sharp edge of the Chief Physician's scalpel.. and the new man emerges with a fuller heart; a more humble heart; a heart so changed by His compassion towards you...that it can't help but touch the lives of those around you. Now that's Favor.

Sanctification ...

is a place of healing.

Bible Study Tools  gives this definition for Sanctification ...

"To sanctify someone or something is to set that person or thing apart for the use intended by its designer. A pen is "sanctified" when used to write. Eyeglasses are "sanctified" when used to improve sight. In the theological sense, things are sanctified when they are used for the purpose God intends. A human being is sanctified, therefore, when he or she lives according to God's design and purpose."

On my side bar, I have the following scripture posted. Its been there since the humble beginning of this blog. 2 Chronicles 7: 14 reads..."if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."NIV

In this sacred sanctuary, with God, He's constantly working my land...tilling the hard soil that's laid vacant; abandoned for other things. He waits for me to fall to the ground...so He can break me open.. to expose the tiny seed; the sweetspot of His tabernacle in me. He does this to multiply Himself in and through me, to humble me, encourage me, to walk in His created purpose and design for my life.

Yeah...I have been created for purpose! You have been created for purpose!  Maybe you, like me, think you've accomplished your purpose. Or, that you've missed it altogether. I thought I'd walked through my one purpose as a wife, mother...and grandmother. That was and remains..a Godly purpose and calling. But I have entered a new season.  He has created me to be His pencil. I cannot remember a time, when I did not hold a pencil in my hand. I thot it was my pencil. My voice. My tiny voice... that no one was ever going to hear.

But God...

It was His training ground

for this season...

For Such a TIME as this!

Therefore, this season's sharing is birthed from a transformed heart...that continues to bend towards the great Physician's skilled hands, scalpel, needle and thread. A Holy transfusion ....His blood blended with mine. He, the Healer, tabernacles within me.

On the other side of those revolving recovery doors...emerged a changed me. I look the same,  just a bit older with grayer hair. But, I'm different on the inside. I'm going to be vulnerable here...more bold then ever before. I'm going to try and describe what I feel happened and continues to happen on the inside of me. It's difficult to put words to such a deeply spiritual thing.

It is like a deep well has been discovered. I now believe that every true believer, who believes in Christ Jesus as their Savior, has this un-realized well. This sacred place within our spirits that's reserved for Him and Him alone; a place where sacred 'Living Waters' flow. Nothing ...can corrupt this 'sweetspot'...this unseen place created in us, before the beginning of TIME. It's by His created design. It is untouchable - except by Him. Maybe its like the Biblical term 'filled with the Holy Spirit'. Maybe. I do know that it is not realized, at least to its potential, until a moment in TIME, when He activates an awareness of it. I believe that there is no bottom to this well. Its full potential will not be reached until we see Him face to face. It is a place of continual filling...overflowing, in fact. It's the overflow that has the potential to spill out ...onto others that we interact with.

I believe...

it's the inherent LOVE of GOD!

Who then can ever keep Christ’s love from us? When we have trouble or calamity, when we are hunted down or destroyed, is it because he doesn’t love us anymore? And if we are hungry or penniless or in danger or threatened with death, has God deserted us? No, for the Scriptures tell us that for his sake we must be ready to face death at every moment of the day—we are like sheep awaiting slaughter; but despite all this, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ who loved us enough to die for us.  For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us." Romans 8:35-39 TLB

The best way to describe my experience...is to say that I'm being constantly filled with the unfathomable infinite LOVE of God. His Love flows through my veins. This LOVE flows from the scared place..the well that's reserved for Him. Therefore, this heart transplant affects everything about me. You will feel this new blood running through my veins...as I submit my pencil. You will hear a more vulnerable side of me, as  I share my heart transplant with you. At times, I will share His communication with me through dreams and visions...to encourage you, as He encourages me.

So join me on this journey...the  faith-filled journey... of walking each other HOME!I

I look forward to the next time...
keep looking up!
The King of all kings is coming soon!

  1. Hi Patrina,
it is lovely to have you back. I have read all of your comment and know exactly what you mean regarding the Holy Spirit within us. When I came up out of the baptismal water speaking in a language I had never learned I started to understand what 'speaking mysteries to God'(1 Corinthians ch. 14 v.2) meant. When I pray in that language it is as if I am telling God what is in my heart, things I can not describe in words, and He understands exactly how to answer me. He has done this firstly through the milk of His Word, and now continues to teach me through the strong meat of that Word.
I have much more to read from your blog references, and will enjoy doing this.
God bless you Patrina, my sister in the Lord.

    1. Dear Brenda.
Greetings to you from the middle of wheat fields!; May Blessings and Favor from the Lord be full in you today...and everyday, as you continue to submit your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. All Glory be to Christ the KING! All Glory be to Christ. He is the ROCK we can stand on; the STRENGTH of our being; the SHELTER for our woundedness; the HEALER of our afflictions. He is Christ Jesus, the KING of all kings...and we humbly turn our hearts and lives over to Him...for His refining GRACE working through us; making us more than we could ever be on our own.

The first verse of that scripture makes it clear that our greatest aim is LOVE. and the first verse of the previous chapter states the same. 1 Cor 13 - the LOVE chapter of the Bible. That whole chapter goes perfectly with the message of my first post here. So i'm going to update the post with the fullness of chapter 13. Thank you for bringing that scripture to mind.

I praise Jesus for you today, Brenda. Thanking Him for His spirit in you. I love reading of His refining GRACE in you, as you pick up your pencil, to share with the world...the MORE of HIM that He has become to YOU!

We are indeed Spiritual buddies...spanning across continents...one Spirit - one LORD.

Thanks for gracing my place with your pencil...Your testament to the Lord rings loudly in my ears...and your voice has reached heaven. Can you hear the angels rejoicing over you as the Father shares His remarkable intimate relationship with you? I bet you do! I bet that when you stand beneath the star-lit sky, you will see them dancing above you. Look for them. Expect them :)

      hugs.. my friend
      blessings,
      patrina

thank you...and welcome back to you. Its been a long long time. So nice to see some of my favorites are still blogging. Many have laid down their pencils. I certainly understand. Yes, always aware of the price He paid to ransom us from the penalty and death of our old sin nature. Always conscious of His Amazing Grace that saved a wretch like me.

    Blessings, David
