“You serve a very capable God.
He can turn the hearts of Kings.
You are on His mind this very moment.
Your tears, your pain and fears
are very important to him.
He is about to move. TRUST HIM.”
He maketh wars to cease. Psalm 46:9
Dr Mike Murdock
These words of wisdom came to my inbox this morning –
after visiting two bloggers late last night. Their posts
spoke volumes to me. Maybe they will also speak to you.
Both speak of a “weight bearing capacity”.
Faith Elaine @ Peace for the Journey
speaking on “God Keeps Pace with Your Pain”
Egmont @ The Artist Within Us
sharing his story of “Family Secrets”
in word and through photography.
This REHMA Word from Dr Mike today was so BIG.
Especially after my contemplative thot renderings –
attached to these two bloggers shared healings.
I read Dr Mike’s wisdom moment in parts.
I began crying with the word KINGS!
I cried out for KINGS!
Send KINGS into my life, Lord.
I haven't had KINGS in my life.
Kings that know how to treat QUEENS
and PRINCESS' with a 'Kingly Anointing'.
KINGS that know how to serve
in their 'inherited' authority.
These are the Kings whose hearts are turned –
by one move - one breath from you, O Lord.
Send these KINGS into my life!
Kings with skin on –
capable of marching into my life and facilitating
your turn around anointing.
O how I welcome the character of this kind
of Earthly KINGLY AUTHORITY!
Then...
When Mike said that you, O Lord,
were on my mind this very moment...
"Your tears, your pain and fears
are very important to him."
I knew this was more than just words.
It was Rhema that caused this wounded warrior
to STAND upright – to see the GLORY
of the Lord shine through.
Then...
"He is about to move.
TRUST HIM."
Standing, I felt your touch, Lord!
I felt your infusion with my spirit.
I heard your still small voice.
I was quickened in my spirit well
with EXPECTANCY & HOPE.
KINGS are being assembled,
as I write these words!
The groaning off my spirit drum assures it.
I see the 'ROUND TABLE' being prepared
to MOVE in my behalf!
Blueprints are spread wide open.
Straight paths are laid out!
Secret Strategies are carefully protected.
The Enemy can't even begin to determine
its mode of 'defeat'.
FOR I AM SHELTERED
IN THE AUTHORITY OF HIS 'KINGSHIP' –
HIS EARTHLY KINGS –
POSITIONED FOR THE NEXT MOVE OF GOD
ARE PREPARING TO ACT
IN MY BEHALF !
Then...
Mike shared this awesome Word
which became Rhema food to my war-weary vessel.
"He maketh wars to cease."
Psalm 46:9
Haha ... I’m reminded of the words to a song
that the Lord penned within my spirit well...
in recent weeks, after spending 3 full days soaking
in the Kingly Anointing of Dottie Rambo's
gift of song ... on YouTube.
“Blue Skies are coming...
Help is on the way!”
As Dottie Rambo sings….
“For I'm Sheltered SAFE within the arms of GOD!”
So let the storms rage high; The dark clouds rise
They won't worry me; For I'm sheltered SAFE...
Within the arms of God.”
Dottie Rambo was one example of a
WARRIOR BRIDE that carried only
a guitar for her Shepherd's staff.
Her "weight bearing capacity"
moved mountains!
I pray for that same weight bearing capacity –
for most assuredly the Lord will be holding me up –
that all men might be drawn to the One and Only
CHRIST JESUS! May He be glorified
in my struggles and suffering.
When Dottie sings, in her later years,
"Don't Take My Burdens or my Cross Away",
you have to KNOW that it was His Strength and
His Loving Presence that carried her.
Her continued FAITH
in the valley's and storms bound her to Him.
One of her most loved songs is
“Sheltered in the Arms of God”.
Below, is the remake with Porter Wagonger –
just before he passed on to God's new Heaven.
The performance in this video came just months
before her own home-going
on Mother's Day - May 11- 2008.
The new album, "Sheltered" wasn't released
until after her death.
Her spirit lives on in ETERNITY.
Her anointing lives on
through her songs.
I love this 'rough' rendition of
“SHELTERED"
For me, it just sweetens the message all the more.
I am most fond of her 'matured voice',
in later years, as she continued to minister
in the midst of pain. It bears witness
to her 'mature-intimate relationship'
with her Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.
Their relationship grew deeper still.
After laying on her back for 5 years,
due to multiple back surgeries.
She even had to retrain her voice.
"I learned more about my God
flat on my back
than I ever did walking in ministry.
He became more important
than the air I breathed." - Dottie shared
I love her vision of the 'appearing shadow',
she shares in this video,
and the emotional 'heavenly passion'
with which she sings this song,
in the wake of Porter's Home-going.
Her 'KINGLY ANOINTING'- her GIFT –
after many many more years of pain and suffering,
still moves the hearts and minds of God's children.
“SHELTERED IN THE ARMS OF GOD”
Dottie Rambo with Porter Wagoner
Dottie penned over 2500 gospel songs!
Many were birthed from the valley's of her
emotional and physical suffering.
She began her ministry of songwriting,
when she was only 8 years old.
God penned a song in her while sitting by a quiet brook.
He gave her the words and the melody all at the same time.
She ran all the way home to sing it to her mama.
When she had finished, her mother wrapped her arms around
Dottie and spoke the most profound words over her.
Words that would later prove to be the words of prophesy.
"O Dottie", she said, "You'll pay a high price for that GIFT."
A TRUE PENCIL
IN THE HANDS OF GOD!
Dottie’s father gave her an ultimatum
when she was a young 12 year old.
Sing Country and stay at home –
or –
sing Gospel and leave.
So at 12 years old, she hit the road
with a cardboard suitcase containing
one of her mother’s best dresses,
remade to fit little Dottie, and 2 other ‘rags’,
as Dottie describes them - and her guitar.
Years later, through the pain and suffering,
she said that it was the 'Gift'
that sustained her throughout life.
“ God gives you the gift but it’s not yours to harbor,
because it’s like water. It becomes stagnant
if it stays in you. It has to come out,
and you give it away to bless someone else.”
More than 20 years after leaving home,
she was able to lead her father to Christ.
From a hospital bed,
after an almost fatal crash,
her father spoke these words to her,
"I want to KNOW your God."
Whew!
God performed 2 miracles
on that hospital bed.
Her father lived another 9 years
and never missed an opportunity
to hear his daughter sing!
Her Bio states...
“There is a belief among those who know her:
even if she hadn’t written one song,
Dottie Rambo would have still changed the world.”
I believe that YOU and I can too!
As the Lord took me through the wealth of His gift in Dottie,
I found strength for my own suffering.
Her life story –her pain - her healing - her tenacity –
her heroic stand against the addiction to pain killers
(10 back surgeries & damage to her spinal cord
caused her to be in pain 24/7 the rest of her days.)
- facilitated the gates of heaven to be opened wide,
as the breath of God's Sweet Spirit breathed
a Newness of Life into my own wounded vessel.
And the warrior in me struggled to stand.
Quietly, in my spirit, I heard that still small voice,
reminding me once again:
THE BATTLE IS NOT MINE,
BUT GOD’S
"Listen, King Jehoshaphat
and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem!
This is what the LORD says to you:
'Do not be afraid or discouraged
because of this vast army.
For the battle is not yours, but God's.
2 Chronicles 20:15
"FOR YOU'RE SHELTERED... SAFE...
WITHIN MY ARMS"...says the Lord
So let the storm clouds rage high,
The dark clouds rise,
They don’t worry me;
For I’m sheltered in the arms of God.
He walks with me,
And naught of earth shall harm me,
For I’m sheltered in the arms of God.
BE ENCOURAGED!
BLUE SKIES ARE COMING!
HELP IS ON THE WAY
Dottie was a ‘Finisher’
Dr Mike says :
“Anyone can begin a marathon.
Champions finish them.
Everyone experiences adversity.
It is those who stay strong to the finish
Who are rewarded.
Pace yourself.
Determine to ‘go the distance’.
Keep aflame the Spirit of a Finisher.”
Dr. Mike Murdock
It can be said of Dottie Rambo,
“I have fought the good fight,
I have finished my course,
I have kept the FAITH!”
2 Timothy 4:7
I pray that it can also be said of me.
“My life is worth nothing to me
unless I use it for finishing the work
assigned me by the Lord Jesus –
the work of telling others the Good News
about the wonderful grace of God.”
Acts 20:24 NLT
Run the race before you!
Run to win!
"Therefore, since we are surrounded
by such a huge crowd of witnesses
to the life of faith, let us strip
off every weight that slows us down,
especially the sin that so easily trips
us up. And let us run with endurance
the race God has set before us."
Heb 12:1 NLT
Read the entire story of God’s supernatural hand
in this battle, in 2 Chronicles 20

THE MOUNTAINS WILL BURST INTO SONG BEFORE YOU
-
Isaiah 55
6 Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoug...
Good morning. Good to see you here.
ReplyDeleteDottie Rambo was one of my favorite people. Her music was and remains very anointed. She suffered a lot in her life and but she never failed to praise HIM. I was saddened to hear of her death and the very strange way she died..... Time for her to struggle no more.....
Have a blessed Sunday.....
HE is ALWAYS our FORTRESS, SHIELD & REFUGE.
ReplyDeleteI also pray that it will be said of me that I ran the race.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I do not know of a book on getting to the root of our sin. Wish I did. I do think a lot of it just comes down to prayer and spending that time with God working through our confession times and listening. Takes time and commitment though and that is hard for most of us to do
Thank you for your beautiful and inspiring blog. This post is special to me for 2 reasons: 1) our Pastor asked me to sing a Dottie Rambo song in church (We Shall Behold Him) and the words and music spoke to my heart and I pray to the hearts of others. 2) When I was finally saved, 20 long years after an evangelist witnessed to me on a train ride, I came to Jesus as I felt His arms lovingly protecting and sheltering me in His strong embrace, asking me to trust Him for the peace I so desperately needed. Which goes to show that what we do for the Lord is never in vain, because I'm sure the evangelist who witnessed to the know-it-all but desperately lost college girl I was back then was discouraged over what he must have perceived as seeds wasted on a hardened heart. I look forward to seeing him in glory and thanking him for the effect his words ultimately had. I will be following your blog, and I invite you to follow mine, Saved by Grace (http://savedbygracebiblestudy.blogspot.com/). Love in Him, Laurie Collett

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing about Dottie Rambo. She was such an inspiration and comfort to me as a child! My heart smiled. You are a precious lady of God. It's apparent.
ReplyDeleteEllen
Ellen, my friend, I have missed you so. Thank you for letting me know that you were here. And for your kind comment. That's how I feel about you too. :)
ReplyDeleteI wasn't aware of Dottie's story until recently, when the Holy Spirit took me on a journey - through a search for one song. It wasn't even a Dottie song that I was looking for. It was a song by Jim Reeves. "How long Has it Been". I grew up with Jim Reeves! and the gospel quartets - because my mama was musical and she had all their records. That was all we listened to. I miss that kind of music so much.
Now that I am informed, as much as I could be about Dottie's life, It saddens me that she is no longer living. I am finding that I'm grieving her death. Not just her death - but her passion being gone form this earth! Her life has inspired so much in recent weeks. I just feel closer to heaven.
The Lord fills me with her music all the time now. I even wake with one of her songs playing in my spirit drum. It's the anointing that was on her, I believe, that remains in her music. She is still ministering - even in her physical absence from the earth. Her music is life!
Love ya woman! Please visit again.
